Little boy parts

We went to the ultrasound today and found out that we're having a boy!

There was a young-ish (low 30's) resident there in training with the ultrasound tech. This doc was just infatuated with the "little boy parts." She found the little guy's unit and just went back and forth to it repeating that phrase over and over. I was thinking, "he's a little young for you lady."

Then Elena and I went out to Dos Amigos for a celebratory lunch.

Got our displays

We finally continued with our displays of faucets and sinks!!! Woot!

Been busy, totalled it up and have 43 hours in 4 days and near 80 in the past 9 days.

Going to find out the sex of our unborn child tomorrow so that is very exciting. I'm guessing a girl.

After we find out we're going out to lunch, just the two of us for the first time in I don't know how long. Not this year.

stuff

kinda slow weekend at work. We have lots to do but still at that standstill because of missing parts. Its setting not only this project way behind but all the next ones too. We have a lot of moving to do.

Elena and Olivia went to Lukes birthday party yesterday. They had fun with all the kids. I am told that he got loads of new toys.
Olivia has a habit of climbing into her toy boxes now and rocking them back and forth or just playing with the misc stuff. She is wake way past her bedtime.

daycare

We met with Luanne and Chris today for setting up daycare. They seem like a nice couple so I'm sure Olivia will be fine.

Work is still at a standstill being that we're missing major display parts.

Elena bought this goofy train set for our little one. She's just enamored with it laughing and chasing it around on its circle. So easily amused.

work

At work we've been really busy building displays. We have shelves, trusses, models, struts, and loads of misc stuff. We could have been a lot longer along than we are but we're short 45 or so uprights to hang the displays. Ouch. They should have come in today but didn't. Hopefully tomorrow. busy busy busy

Grandparents

My grandparents came up to see me at work today. Then they went and picked up Elena and Olivia and took them out for supper. They had Chineese buffet. I had some leftover hamburger helper and a few juice boxes.

I helped someone from the Netherlands who immigrated a while ago and he lived in Grand Marais. He wanted a toilet seat. Raspberry.

Star Wars

Been lots of stuff about the Star Wars movies on TV recently. I really like the original trilogy. The prequils are neat and all but they're just so much more polished and wooden at the same time. I guess there just isn't a Han Solo charactor who flies by the seat of his pants and flies a cargo ship that just may break down at any time. Also there hasn't been those terribly evil charactors that survive through the movies to create the arch-villan.

my poor foot

Late last night I was chasing Olivia around the house and I was attempting to run into her room. Her door was open inward and my foot caught dead on the side of it. I crumpled to the floor in agony. Olivia caught up to me and started pulling on my hair. Didn't break anything but the top of my foot is all blue and it kinda hurts to walk. Ah, well so it goes

Goodwill

Today, Elena, Olivia and I went to the Goodwill here in Rochester. Elena was looking for some cheap maternity clothes. I was kinda not wanting to go clothes shopping on my day off, so yea.
I actually was the one to keep us late. They had rows of used books for sale @ $0.33 each. They weren't organized for anything all piled up and in laundry carts but I was all for it. Found a couple of old MAD books and I picked up a big thick book of E.A. Poe's works. "Can't have too much culture," says I.

First Post

Hey, hows things out there

going to start a little mostly text web journal here. Planning on trying to keep posting going for as long as I have time/remember/want to bother. I hope that this turns into a long term thing but we'll see how it goes. Hows that for a dedicated front.
